has arrived in 2009 and, with this new year, the opportunity to make a better city together.
For the citizen, the shift towards sustainable mobility and inclusive is given spontaneously, but firmly. Citizens aware of the various problems caused by excessive car use have proposed actions to prevent the emission of pollutants, improve personal health, family finances and allow the recovery of our Guadalajara, all this through a lifestyle that has as one of its characteristics the use of bicycles as alternative transportation. Fortunately, last year we gather, in one of the rides of all, more than 4,000 cyclists to enjoy a healthy way our city.
Instead, the government has done little (or nothing) to motivate a change in the culture vial that most people think is correct: "The car is the only one who has the right to travel on public space ( and non-public). " And if you do not believe me, try walking across a street and see the famous "continuous right turn" runs over (Literally) your right of way as a pedestrian priority, now imagine the children, people in wheelchairs or elderly people trying this daily. Equally serious is the excessive costs for the private car that authorities are trying to sell us as solutions to the traffic problem, which end in millions pieces fit only a few months in exchange for years creating chaos for their construction (Tunnel-Las López Mateos Rosas) or occurrences that segregate citizens and threaten citizens, go by car or not (Viaduct Lopez Mateos).
For the above reasons, the 10th. All Walk to be held on January 8 at 9 pm at Revolution Park (Avenida Juarez and federalism) causes a satire of CIRCUS AND THEATRE MAROMA is 'fanning' our leaders to break the city and the subsequent charges that supposedly make us to fix it. We invite you to enjoy this Great Circus called city on your bike and costumes for the occasion: Clown (no offense to those mentioned), women Barbona, human cannonball, jugglers, animal tamer (automotive) or whatever you ocuura that is related to the circus. Remember that the 'Hall of the Bicycle "has surprises for the best costumes. And at the end of the tour will be a concert with the group "Bosque Discoteca" and fresh water, so you can bring your boat or container and not contaminated with disposables.
But remember that, besides being a party, the Paseo de Todos is a time to raise awareness about the importance of urban cycling and its benefits for the metropolitan area. It is an opportunity to discover that the bike allows us to reach the same places that a car (and more) without spending a single peso, to make use of our right to travel on our streets, to recover public spaces, to treat our environment environment and generate a healthy coexistence among citizens. So, invite your friends, relatives and authorities near to participate in this change that benefits us all.
And the drunk said that ... "When you do not like ... [to ride a bike and change opinion]. "
